Comment by The proc effect on the set has a 45 second internal cooldown, which I tested and confirmed lastnight. I have also uploaded a Screenshot of the Proc effect on Max Partical effect settings, which can be seen under the Screenshots tab. Sanctuary - Stormrage EU. The stats on this are identical to Crul'korak, the Lightning's Arc so it is a good buy regardless if you want the set bonus or not.
They're fantastic; And I love the way they look. Awesomely enough; The effect from the set bonus stacks with hurricane. I have hurricane on both; and the jump in attack speed is pretty significant when both effects proc. Comment by As a hunter I was interested when I saw this 2 set bonus could proc off of ranged attacks but unfortunately for hunters the strength on the Claws of Agony ruined them. As far as hunter weapons go Malevolence is BiS until the heroic version is acquired from what I've seen, and is easy enough to obtain.
If for some reason in the future the strength is changed to agility then this 2 set would be awesome for hunters, better than Malevolence imo! All we get from haste is a bit faster attack speed and mw procs. Sure that is nice With just Flurry, 1. Should you buy this piece? Its one of the best weapons you can get, and you won't upgrade it until Heroic Nefarian. Grab this after getting your Darkmoon Card, Hurricane. Neither is strength. Don't know why Blizz made these a couple They could've made 2 couples, one with agi and one with str, perhaps two 2handers. It'd both satisfy fury warriors and those who'd only use the main hand. IMO I'll get this one for my shammy but not the offhand.
This is especially true since there is no "heroic" trash in raids, but you do have heroic trash in 5m heroics who just drop the normal versions of the boe, not the heroic versions. Which sucks for enh shamans because this means we will be stuck with Crul'korak as our ONLY viable option for heroic weapons. Comment by Mitosis Is it actually a version?
Because I have seen the guns on the AH with the "heroic" tag yet are still only ilvl , and not in fact the heroic item. I have yet to see a BoE.
